I suspect confession is in crisis because 1) it is never promoted; and 2) it is provided at too few times; and 3) the aberrant psychology of face to face confession of the last 30 years has reaped its predictable reward.
ah, and now we have the former Lord of this see frolicking further south, and it would seem drilling holes in the bottom of the Catholic boat by undermining the Church's position
